In the village of Tikaria in the Mandla area in the state of Madhya Pradesh, a man named Arun opposed our Church plant activities when we began evangelizing in this village. Brother Arun was born in a non-Christian family which strictly followed their religion. He ended up marrying Jayam who was a seeker and followed the teachings of Jesus Christ. Arun did not like this and after they married he began preventing her from participating in the activities of the Church. This created a great deal of tension in the family. Arun noticed that whenever his wife returned from prayer meetings, she was very calm and peaceful. She would pray for the problems in her family and they would be resolved. Gradually Arun started realizing the power of prayers and that Christ did have answers. He wanted to know more about Jesus. His wife and the mission evangelist encouraged him to attend the services of the Church. Arun began attending church services and studying God’s word with his wife and the missions evangelist. He has now accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and is actively involved in the church.
