Evangelist Vishnu has been working with the mission with a special focus on the non- Christians.  He met with Gokul and his wife, Anita, while he was distributing tracts in the market.  The two came and showed interest in knowing more about our Savior.  Vishnu prayed for them and shared the Gospel with them.  While he prayed and talked with them, other people started gathering.  Five others took the teachings seriously and in all, seven people decided to accept Christ as their Savior.  Because of the activities of the extremists in the area, they were taken to a remote and safe place to be baptized.

While preaching at one of the hospitals in Bilaspur area, our Missions’ evangelist met Gaurishankar and his wife, Sunita.  They showed interest in what he was sharing.  The evangelist prayed for them, shared the gospel and encouraged them to attend the Church service.  Gaurishankar, Sunita, along with their family, starting attending service and in one of the preaching meetings of Vivert, they decided to accept Christ as their savior and they were baptized.

We are thankful to God for allowing us to continue to reach one of the tribes, the Gonds, with the message of Christ.  Sudama, of the Gond tribe, opened his house for evangelism.  The Mission’s evangelist continually visited his house and shared the Gospel.  Gradually, more people started attending the meetings.  God blessed the efforts and six members of this tribe, Sudama, Rajeshwari, Silans, Sukhiya, Bai, Gamnotri, and Indirawati, accepted Christ as their savior and were baptized.

Four tribal people from the village Pungaon in the state of Madhya Pradesh accepted Christ as their Savior.  The Pungaon tribe, along with other tribes, worship stones, trees, dogs, cats and other animals.  They are ready to kill other people to safeguard their religion.  We are thankful to God that He used the mission’s evangelist to save people of this community.  After reading one of the tracts, Surendra showed interest in knowing more about our Savior.  He opened his home and the mission’s evangelist visited him regularly and shared the Gospel with him and his family.  God blessed the efforts and Surendra, along with Marawi, Paraste, and Ramkali accepted Christ as their Savior.

Gopal Jharia, a doctor by profession, lives in Sakri, a village in the Mandla area. Gopal has a son that suffered from sickle cell anemia.  This illness caused great concern and tension in the family.  The missions evangelist visited the family and prayed for Gopal’s son. Gopal listened intently to the evangelist and opened his house for prayers.  He felt peace whenever he listened to God’s Word.  The continual efforts by the evangelist yielded results.  Better medical treatment and an environment of peace and happiness in the family helped in the child’s recovery.  Brother Gopal accepted Christ as his Savior and now witnesses to other people about Jesus.
