$1.00 is now worth $2.00

One of Vivert’s goals for 2015 is to complete the Safe-House at the MICP campus in Jabalpur.  I am pleased to inform you that MICP has received a second grant from the Moriah Foundation to be used toward its completion.  Their first grant was used to complete construction of the ground floor and Vivert has been sharing the success he has had in establishing a Bible study and worship service in the partially completed building.

Moriah has now provided for a second Grant of $15,000 to be distributed to on a matching funds basis.  This means that for every $1.00 MICP receives from our supporters, an additional $1.00 will be contributed by Moriah.

Thank you in advance for supporting us in this important project.

Church Plants/Growth/Updates

A Severe Earthquake hit the country of Nepal onApril 25th taking over 8800 lives.  All four of the mission’s evangelists in Nepal and their families and Church people were safe.  Vivert and the team went to Nepal to do relief work and during that time a second massive earthquake measuring 7.3  on the Richter scale hit Nepal.  It was a time of concern and fear for everyone at the mission.  We are thankful to God that everyone was safe.  Vivert and the team surveyed the area and found out that most of the help was coming to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

Decision was made to work at hard to reach villages, seven hours away from Kathmandu.  No help had been received there.  Medical care and relief material was provided in these villages and we plan to continue our evangelistic efforts in Nepal through our evangelists there.  We are grateful to many of you who gave generously and enabled us to do all this.

On the 8th of May, Vivert’s parents completed their 51st year of marriage.  A prayer service was organized at this time.  Please pray for Vivert’s father as he is struggling with Alzheimers.

Savannah Christian Church, GA.  Invited Vivert and Neelam to be at a retreat in Poland.  Vivert went to this almost straight from Nepal.  He said that it really was a great time of fellowship, learning and time to be refreshed.  Representatives from several countries had gathered.  Vivert and Neelam  are thankful to brother Dave Stewart and Savannah Christian Team for putting this wonderful retreat together.

A family was reached by the evangelist Komal Singh in Motinala area in the state of Madhya Pradesh.  The head of the family, Sukrati,  became possessed by demon and the entire family got really scared of him.  Evangelist was able to go, pray with them and this person was healed.  Their entire family now has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are helping evangelist to bring others out of darkness.

Neelam’s Kids

It was a time of great blessing and emotions when six of the Neelam’s Kids children accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and were baptized.  These are the first 6 children from this program to take these steps. Neelam becomes very emotional every time she shares this story.  Vivert shares that we have made a decision a few years ago to keep people safe from persecutors, but now decisions are being made so they can be saved for eternity.

Additional Ministry News & Events

The worship service in the city of Jabalpur had a very low attendance this month.  We had less than a 100 people.  Extensive heat brings the attendance down.  We will be gearing- up our efforts after Summer.

God used Vivert in a mighty way in Raipur, the capital of the state of Chhattisgarh.  Crowd kept on increasing as the week progressed.  Thousands heard the Gospel.  Organizers put over a 1000 chairs outside the Church building under a tent to accommodate the crowd.  Several decisions were made.  On the Resurrection Day special service at Raipur is organized at the Cemetery.  Here again, thousands turned out beginning at 4:30 in the morning and were reached by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We were thankful to have a team from Real Life Christian Church, Clermont, Florida from the 15th to the 24th of April.   Brother Mark Montemayor led a Strategic Planning Seminar for us where leaders from the mission were able to sit, look back at our achievements and were able to make definite plans for the growth of the Kingdom here in India.  It was a time of learning, thanking God for what he has done for us thus far, and making plans for the future.  We were blessed to have brother Rob Barber, brother  Mike Shelly and also brother Judah Tangshing,

who came from Myanmar, with us during this time.

It was a blessing to have sister Pam Hicks and sister Jonnie Foreman from Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, Texas come to visit the mission in April also.  We traveled extensively with them going to the states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and West Bengal.  This team has been to many mission works at different parts of the world.  They were  able to visit Churches in different states and were also able to witness different facets of  the ministry of Mid-India.  Their words of encouragement were uplifting for everyone.    Sister Pam shared the message at different gatherings and sister Jonnie encouraged the Senior Citizens with her message.

Special service was organized at Ghonta where many were benefitted by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, representatives of seven Church plants of the state of Chhattisgarh gathered in Bilaspur where brother Mark preached the message and Vivert interpreted it.  This was followed by sing-song and skit competitions of those Churches

Strategic Planning Seminar was organized at the mission where reports of the growth were taken and message of encouragement was shared with the evangelists.   Vivert was asked to be at the seminar which was organized in preparation for the World Convention (Disciples) which is going to take place in India.
